Temporal is a drift through archival documents gathered by Carlos Oliveira, around theatre stories lived by Carlos Oliveira, his father. Starting from the coincidence of name and labour, it deals with things that do not pass, whether because they persist unchanged or because they exist without time altogether. Episodes that recur in history, but also in the way they are presented: the return of a time that is still present, in relation to which images are described, along with their materialities and the spectres they summon, not without also describing the very act of reading them in public. Images of theatre placed inside the theatre, that of then and that of now, and images of their audiences, placed face to face and listening to one another.
