Cisnografia consists of challenging the composition and rewriting of the 13th movement Le Cygne from the Suite Le Carnaval des Animaux by Camille Saint-Säens. This work results from the challenge made to thirteen choreographers/interpreters/performers and a composer, to individually rewrite their death of the swan, according to their personal languages and work codes. Each solo was filmed in different rooms at the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, allowing for compositions that are closely related to the works and spaces.
The result is an installation for screen with the 13 solos and a film that is the intersection of all the rewrites.
