Sound installation for the entrance of the Portuguese Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025

Afluente is a 10 channel sound installation conceived for the waiting and transition space before entering the Portuguese Pavilion. The piece weaves together sounds from Portuguese and Japanese string instruments with recordings of water, shaping a subtle and enveloping sonic environment. Working from ideas such as flow and convergence — of bodies, sounds, geographies — the installation invites a suspended and attentive listening experience, preparing visitors for what unfolds inside the pavilion.
