The space in this piece is remote, but concrete. The listener might feel inside or outside, centred or peripheral, present or distant. The construction of this space is also the construction of a narrative, documental, both real and fiction, where the narrator (the composer, the listener) walks with the sound, and creates perspective. ‘Apartment in Lisbon (narrator is present)’ is an exploration of an aural architecture to find the resonances of everyday processes.

The piece was composed from recordings made in 2013 in a house in the centre of Lisbon, with different types of microphones positioned differently in space.
